Trying Pomodoro

This week I've been giving the Pomodoro Technique a go. The basic idea behind the Pomodoro technique is that you set out your tasks for the day, then spend 25 mins (that's the recommended time) working on a task. Then take a 5 minute break before you start the next Pomodoro, the name for one of these 25 minute sections.

So far the week has been going well, I start the first Pomodoro setting out the tasks for the day, and the number of Pomodoro's I think a task will take. To manage all this you can use pen and paper, the website provides examples you can download and use, but I decided to look for a tech version.

I found this Adobe AIR application called Pomodairo. It allows you to set the list of tasks, set how many Pomodoro's each task could take, and it has a timer to keep track of the time in the current Pomodoro.

So far the week is going well, its only Tuesday, but going well. The plan is to keep it going for the next four weeks until it becomes a habit.
