Looking forward to MAX 2009

While I’m not going to MAX, though I wish I was, I think that this years MAX will be one of the biggest for new announcements.

Here’s what I think will come out of MAX:

1. Mobile, mobile mobile, its going to huge this year, and Adobe need to get involve big time in mobile.
2. Flex and AIR for mobile, as Ted Patrick says looking at the sessions, Flex and AIR are coming to mobile.
3. Cloud computing, how to use the services Adobe provides and how to access cloud computing using Adobe technologies.
4. Pushing ColdFusion, as a old ColdFusion developer I’m pleased to see how many sessions there are about ColdFusion. Adobe are really promoting ColdFusion 9 and aiming at PHP and Java developers. I wonder if they plan to make CF cheaper or free?
5. Social apps, how we as developers can use Adobe technologies to create and sell social apps.
6. Video both in the Flash Player and on the TV.

From looking at the sessions this year MAX is taking the idea from 2008’s where Adobe technologies are coming together. This year will be using these technologies to build upon the Flash Platform.

I’m particularly keen to see Adobe’s plans for mobile, Flex, AIR and the Flash Platform. I look forward to looking at the sessions on the new Adobe TV site.
