There is a new version of the great RSS reader ShareFire, out today.
I’ve been a fan of ShareFire since the first version came out, when it was called Apprise, but I haven’t used it in a while. So this new release was a good excuse to go back and look at it.
I’ve always had a plan to create a RSS reader application which links to Google Reader and Twitter, but looking at the new version of ShareFire I’m reminded that it already has these features, and with it being open source I can develop the features I had in mind for my RSS reader into ShareFire (that’s if they are approved).
So tonight I plan to download the latest source code and start looking through it to see how it works and how I can work on it.
