Splitter is a go….

Ok this is the start of my Twitter project. I’m going to call it Splitter (because it sounds like Twitter), its going to be a AIR desktop app, written in Flex.

As with a lot of my Flex apps I’m going to use the Cairngorm framework, I’m a fan of Cairngorm and as I don’t use it at work (boo hoo) I’d like to use it for Splitter. As part of this I’m going to implement the Presentation Model pattern for the views of the application. In order to capture all the events and management of the views in the app.

As for the functionality of Splitter, its going to have all the standard Twitter function, create and post twits. View messages posted by people following, see who’s following you, I’ll add a full list of functionality later.

As well as using Cairngorm I’m going to use the TwitterScript library, to provide the support for the app.

As I go through developing this app I’ll post how its going, problems I’m facing and when it should be released.
